The Shenandoah Valley Cooperation having met the 28th day of April 1849 according to appointment. The brethren present were. from Walnut Spring Brothers Joseph Orndorff and Martin Boehm, from Narrow Passage Brothers N. M. Hoffman, Joseph Hoffman, Martin F. Miley, Jeremiah Evans and J. J. Jackson. The meeting being called to order, a motion being made to chose a moderator and secretary, when Brother Martin Boehm was chosen Moderator protem and J. J. Jackson secretary protem.
A motion was made to take into consideration the importance of employing an Evangelist when it was agreed upon to invite Brother G. W . Abell to labour for us three months druing the summer season for which time it expected that the congregations will raise sufficient amount to remunerate for said services.
On motion of Brother Boehm agreed upon that our next coooperation be at Walnut Spring meeting house.
On motion being made the meeting adjourned untill Friday before the 3rd Lords day in August at 10 oclock P.M.
On motion of Brother Miley, that notice of the meeting be made through the Intelligencer.
