Shenandoah Valley Cooperation

This body met Saturday April 1st, 1854 half past 10 O'clock A.M. at Walnut Spring Shenandoah co. Va. The moderator J. S. Pennybacker being absent it was moved that John Perkey take the chair as moderator pro. tem. After singing and prayer by Brother Dillard the secretary proceeded to read the minutes of the preceding meeting.

Walnut Spring reports in good order and in perfect harmony.

Zion reports in pretty good order.

Narrow Passage reports in usual order number nearly the same as last year 2 or 3 exceptions.

Mt Jackson reports 14 in number - usual order.

Sandy Ridge in usual order No. about 55.

It was moved and carried that a committee be appointed to make arrangements for preaching - accordingly there was a committee of three appointed, viz. Charles Shambaugh, Abraham Strickler, John Perkey.

The Evangelists reports were then read showing there had been 14 additions since last session.

It was moved and carried that there be a committee appointed to settle with the treasurer in reference to the accounts for the last Cooperation year accordingly brother A. Stickley, C. Shambaugh, O. Funk, A Strickler were appointed said committee.

Said Committee proceeded to make settlement with the treasurer of the Cooperation. The following shows the accounts as they now stand for the year past viz.

The Cooperation appointed H. T. Dillard, John Perkey, and J. A. Cowgill delegates to the the Spring State Cooperation to be held at Bowling Green Caroline county Va.

It was moved and carried that the next session of the Cooperation be held at Zion previous to the meeting of the State Cooperation in the fall the time to be fixed and published by the secretary.

It was moved that the minutes of this meeting be read adopted as above written and a synopsis thereof be published in the Christian Intelligencer.

Upon motion the meeting adjourned to meet at Zion.

The undersigned Finance Committee having met and examined the papers relative to the Treasurer's account with the Churches in the V--- Cooperation for the year ending Oct. 1853. And beg leave to Report that the Treasurer's account as render-- appears to be correct as stated.
