The Shenandoah Valley Cooperation met at Zion Aug. 26 1854 and after being opened by by (sic) prayer by brother Flippo. The moderator J. S. Pennybacker being absent D. Stickley was called to chair as moderator pro. tem.

On motion it was resolved that the evangelist present his report to body. By this report it seems that there had been 22 additions the past year.

On motion it was resolved that the report of the evangelist be received.

The minutes of the preceding cooperation were called for and read.

The delegates were called upon to report the condition of their respective congregations.

Zion reports in usual order meeting regularly on Lord's day, though these meetings are not very fully attended by the members. Number about the same as at last session.

New Providence reports in usual order No. 14 meeting regularly.

Sandy Ridge in usual order No. 50 or upwards. Not meeting regularly.

Walnut Spring reports in usual order No.45. No about the same as last year.

Narrow Passage reports about 30 in number.

On motion a committee of

three was appointed to settle with the treasurer. The committee Daniel Shull, A. Strickler, and Obed Funk.

On motion it was resolved that a committee be appointed to regulate the preaching. Committee H. P. Bader and A. Strickler.

A resolution being presented to the Cooperation from Walnut Spring, setting forth and recommending brother John Pirkey as a suitable person to perform the functions of a christian minister. The resolution was approved by Cooperation.

After preaching by brother Flippo the meeting adjourned for a short time, after which the brethren met and after singing and prayer by bro. Flippo the meeting proceeded to business.

Upon motion of A. Crabill in behalf of brother Dillard it was resolved that a letter of commendation be given to bro. Dillard, and that it be written by the secretary in the name of cooperation. On motion it was resolved that cooperation give $50.00 to the State evangelizing fund.

It was resolved that brethren H. Hennings, J. Pirkey, A. Crabill, and J. A. Cowgill be appointed delegates to attend the State Cooperation to be holden in Richmond in November next.

Upon the resignation of A. Crabill Daniel Shull was appointed treasurer for Cooperation.

J. A. Cowgill upon motion was reappointed Secretary.

The next Cooperation to be at Narrow Passage, Friday before the 4th Lord's day in April next beginning 3 O'clock P. M.

The Cooperation approved of the minutes as above written.
