Shenandoah Valley Cooperation
Pursuant to arrangement this body met at Narrow Passage, Shen. co. 21st day of April 1855.
Upon motion bro. A. Strickler was called to the chair as moderator pro. tem. The meeting was then called to order singing and prayer by bro. John Pirkey. Upon motion bro. J. Berry and Oval Pirkey were invited to participate in the deliberations of this meeting.

Reports from Congregations
New Providence reports in usual order meeting regularly though the meetings are not always very fully attended. No. 42
Walnut Spring reports meeting regularly but meeting in usual order. No. about 70.
Zion reports meeting regularly but meetings but thinly attended. No. about 40.
Narrow Passage reports in usual order meeting regularly every month. No. about 40.
Mt Jackson not meeting regularly, No. about 8.
The report of the evangelist was then read. From this report it would seem that there had been 15 additions since last Cooperation meeting. Report received by meeting.
On motion it was resolved that a committee of 5 be appointed to suggest a remedy for the languishing condition of affairs in this cooperation. Committee appointed John Pirkey, W. D. Farra, T. Shambaugh, N. Milton Hoffman, and Elias Crabill.
The meeting adjourned to meet at 3 o'clock P. M.
According to the arrangement the brethren assembled at 3 o'clock when the committee made their report to the body, which was adopted unanimously.
Narrow Passage, Va.
April 21st, 1855
We the committee appointed to suggest the means to remove gloomy state of several of the congregations of the Disciples of Christ in the Valley of Va. beg leave to make the following report.
1. That Bro. Jesse Berry locate at or near Mt. Jackson as a teacher and proclaimer of the Gospel to the churches at that place, at the Stone Meeting House, and at Edinburg as he may have opportunity.
2. That bro Cowgill visit Fair View meeting house and try to get the congregation to meet regularly, and see that they become properly organized for that purpose, creating himself by means of the gospel, all the interest that he can.
3. That Bro. Cowgill's report be published in the Christian Intelligencer, annexing thereto an invitation to any of the State Evangelists, or other preaching brethren, to visit the Valley of Va. this summer and hold several protracted meetings at different points. by order of this Cooperation.

It was then resolved that bro. Pirkey be requested, whenever convenience will permit, to visit and preach for the brethren.
The meeting then proceeded to appoint delegates to the State Cooperation Meeting to be held at Mangohich, King William co. The following brethren were accordingly appointed, viz. J. A. Cowgill, A.. Stickley, T. Shambaugh, Elias Crabill, N. M. Hoffman, W. D. Farra, A. Strickler.
It was resolved that a committee of 3 be appointed to arrange the preaching the following brethren were appointed the committee viz. , A. Stickley, T. Shambaugh, and W. D. Farra.
The next Cooperation to be held at New Providence, Warren Co, to commence Friday before the first Lord's day in September at 3 O'clock P. M.
