This page is dedicated to the record book of the Shenandoah Valley Cooperation from 1846 to 1857. I inherited the book from my grandmother. Her Saunders, Barr, Boehm, and Wattson ancestors were all players in the dramas of this record. Only as I have read carefully in making this transcription, have I realized that this little book has real historical value. It is posted here to share and to preserve.
The Shenandoah Valley Cooperation was a fellowship of churches in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. They were part of the Disciples of Christ movement of the 19th Century in America. Links to information about this movement and related subjects include:.
The transcription presented here is complete. A careful attempt was made to reproduce the original spelling and punctuation. However, some changes in arrangement and organization were made to these copies for the purpose of fitting a webpage. One problem is presenting strikeouts because simple web fonts do not permit. Some typographic errors still exist, which are mine. I am now in the process of proofreading, and correcting. Please notify me if you discover any errors in this transcription.
The record of each meeting of the Cooperation is linked below by the date of the beginning session.
